Gunpo Hanpan Haiso Wagyu and Galbisal Beef Review

A personal review of Hanpan Haiso in Dang-dong, Gunpo, covering wagyu, beef galbisal, lunch galbitang, parking, rooms, the self bar, and a small bibim naengmyeon finish.

Hello from Ijjingne. I went to Dang-dong for beef after a long time. I visited without a reservation, and if I had arrived a little later I probably would have had to wait. By the time the meat was on the grill, a lot of people had come in.

Hanpan Haiso is located in Dang-dong. It is closed on Mondays, except public holidays. The parking area was spacious, and there was someone guiding cars, so parking was comfortable.

Wagyu platter, 600 g Beef galbisal, 600 g After-meal bibim naengmyeon

This place lets you order by the platter, so we ordered wagyu and beef galbisal. For lunch specials, there are galbitang and gukbap menus, and the galbitang seemed popular. It comes with two king ribs and was listed at 12,000 won, so I want to come back for galbitang at lunch.

There is a large meat refrigerator near the entrance where you can check the actual portion and meat quality. We chose from the menu, looked once more at the refrigerator, and then ordered.

The first round of side dishes was served at the table, and after that we used the self bar. The japchae here was especially good. The interior was very spacious, and there were rooms on one side, so it seemed useful for family gatherings. When we visited, all of the rooms were reserved.

The wagyu platter came out with a great color. I also liked that they served the mushroom whole. I prefer larger cuts of meat, and the pieces on top felt a little finely cut.

We started grilling right away. Because it was grilled over charcoal, it tasted even better. The wagyu was good, but after trying the galbisal, galbisal became my top pick.

This was the galbisal, and it was much softer than the wagyu. In the photo the portion may look small, but it was gathered in a concave dish, and the amount was fine. If I visit again, I would skip the wagyu and order galbisal.

The self bar looked clean. I brought a few side dishes that were not served at first. Japchae and salad were not at the self bar, so I had to ask the staff separately for those.

We finished with after-meal bibim naengmyeon. It tasted good, but perhaps because it was an after-meal portion, the amount was very small. We ordered one to share, then saw the portion and ordered another.

Overall it was not bad, but compared with many reviews saying it was good value, I personally did not feel it was especially cost-effective. Keep that in mind if you plan to visit.
