Dutumdun 288 Sanbon Pork Near Geumjeong Station
A source-grounded review of Dutumdun 288 in Sanbon-dong, near Geumjeong Station, with 288-hour aged pork, staff-grilled cuts, roomy tables, a self-serve side dish bar, and service kimchi stew.
Hi, this is Ijjingne. Today I visited Dutumdun 288, a Sanbon-dong meat restaurant in the food alley near Geumjeong Station. Maybe because the meat is aged for 288 hours, it was really chewy and delicious.

The interior was very clean and spacious. Each table looked like it could seat four to five people, and the place seemed to be visited often for company dinners.
From Geumjeong Station Exit 5, pass Tous Les Jours, turn into the first alley, and it is on the right. I liked that it was close to Geumjeong Station, about five minutes on foot from the exit.

As soon as we came in, they set up the side dishes. They even had green onion kimchi and myeonginamul, which I love. If you need more, you can bring it from the self-serve bar. At the bar there were extra items that were not on the first setting, including bean powder and Cheongyang chili peppers.

Everything was so neat. They kept refilling the sides before they ran out, and I brought back a lot of the Cheongyang chili peppers I like.

Two portions of chewy nabisal One portion of marbled gabeurisal
We first ordered two portions of nabisal, and because the meat was so good, we added gabeurisal in the middle. At first I ordered doenjang stew, but a staff member came over and said kimchi stew comes as service and asked if I still wanted the doenjang stew, so I removed it right away. Kimchi stew as service is the best.

They turned on the fire and brought out two portions of nabisal. The pieces were large, and the glossy color looked great.

They placed the meat on the grill and even grilled it beautifully for us. When I asked, they said they try to grill for guests as much as possible unless they are very busy or crowded. So sweet. The staff were all very kind too.

Once it was partly cooked, they cut it into easy-to-eat pieces and spread it around the edge. Then we only had to wait a little longer until it browned and enjoy it. There were many sides that paired well with the meat, including green onion kimchi, meljeot, bean sprout salad, pickled radish wraps, and myeonginamul.
The kimchi stew came out as service. But there was so much meat inside that I was honestly touched. I wondered if it was even possible to be this generous with the meat.

They opened the wide window, so it had a strong outdoor dining feel. Maybe because it was charcoal, the meat cooked deliciously, and I really liked it.

While eating, it was so tasty that we ordered galmaegisal too.

The nabisal had a nice chewy texture, while the galmaegisal was very tender. Overall the meat was thick, so the texture was completely different from thinly sliced meat. This feels like a place I will revisit.

The neon sign was cute. Maybe 288 hours is the most delicious aging time for meat. Fresh meat and aged meat really do seem to have different depth of flavor. If you are looking for a meat restaurant near Geumjeong Station, I recommend Dutumdun 288. #GeumjeongStationPork #GeumjeongStationMeatRestaurant #GeumjeongStationSamgyeopsal #SanbonDongRestaurant #GeumjeongMeatRestaurant #GeumjeongStationFood #SanbonDongPork #GunpoSamgyeopsal
