Dongtan Indoor Date: Signal Hunter Life Theater Escape Room

Hi, this is Izzingne. Lately I have been completely into escape rooms, so I have been going around collecting escape-room experiences. I started near home, tried Gangnam too, and the more places I visited, the more fun it got, so this time I went to Dongtan.

The place was Signal Hunter Dongtan, an escape room spot in Dongtan. It is in the City Plus building in the Dongtan central shopping area. Parking is free for 2 hours without needing to check with the shop. The parking lot went down to basement level 3, but even on a weekday afternoon there were no spaces. Luckily, I spotted a car leaving, barely parked, and arrived on time for the reservation.

Reservation method: first go to the Signal Hunter website, then choose the branch, theme, and number of people. After that, choose the date and the time you want, check it, and the reservation is done. The date and time you want may already be booked, so I recommend reserving 2 to 3 days ahead.

After going up to the 6th floor, turn left and it is right there. There are different discount details, so take a look.

If you are a student, there is definitely a discount. If you reserve an opening-time or closing-time slot, the discount is pretty big. There is also a receipt event, and there are several ways to get a discount, so it helps reduce the price burden.

If you want to visit Signal Hunter but have not picked a theme yet, this is what you should look at. The themes were divided clearly by genre, difficulty, fear level, and activity level, so it was easy to choose. I could read the short story summaries and pick the theme I wanted. I really dislike horror, so I chose the comic theme Life Theater.

Life Theater: you become the main character who planned to go to a club party with a friend, but your dad grounds you. The story is about getting past the guard and escaping within 1 hour.

I cannot say more about the story, but it had a certain amount of activity and the storyline was fun. Best of all, when asking for hints, we had to contact the owner by radio. The owner stayed in character as the friend who was supposed to go to the party with me, so we asked for and received hints in casual speech. I had never experienced that in an escape room before, and it was so funny.

You can store your belongings in lockers, and every locker had a charger. My battery happened to be low, so that was perfect. I charged it right away and went in.

Slippers were also prepared. For Life Theater, it seemed like we could enter wearing our own shoes, so we did not change into them.

Maybe because we have some beginner escape-room experience now, we escaped successfully in 34 minutes. If you do not escape, there is a retry discount, and if you want to try another room, there is also a 5,000 KRW consecutive-room discount. After succeeding, they take a proof photo for you.
