A review of Dalbom Choco Dubai chocolate near Handae-ap in Ansan, comparing pistachio and peanut butter flavors, the 10,000 won price, cold packaging, texture, sweetness, and bitter chocolate notes.

Hello, this is Ijjingne. Dubai chocolate is so popular these days. I finally tried it too. It was surprisingly hard to find near my neighborhood. There is a place in Beomgye that sells Dubai chocolate, but I heard you have to go in the morning to get it, so I looked around Ansan instead.

I tried Dubai chocolate from Dalbom Choco near Handae-ap in Ansan. There were two types: pistachio and peanut butter. I will review both.

The price was 10,000 won each. It is expensive. It looked about 5 cm by 5 cm, so the price felt intense. To keep it from melting in the hot weather, they packed it cold in an insulated bag. They said it is crispier if you freeze it. I was more excited because they use homemade pistachio paste.

The pistachio is the white one on the left, and the peanut butter is the brown one on the right. They looked cute on the plate.

First, this is the cross-section of the peanut butter chocolate. It was dense, slightly crisp, and had a strong peanut flavor. It also was not too sweet, which I liked even more.

This one is finally the pistachio. I expected it to have kadayif noodles inside, but it did not. The paste itself had some crispness, but since I still have not tried kadayif, I want to try another Dubai chocolate too.

Both were dense, crisp, and nutty. The chocolate itself had more of a slightly bitter note than a strong sweetness, so it fit my taste well. When I order drinks at cafes, I always ask for less syrup or less sweetness when I get smoothies or chocolate drinks. For me, this sweetness level was just right, and I liked it.

The chocolate shattered with a crisp bite, and it disappeared so quickly. Even though I do not usually like very sweet things, I finished it right away. I think everyone should try it at least once. Dubai chocolate definitely had a texture I had not tried before. Next time, I will go to 98 Percent in Beomgye.
