Cold Case Incheon Branch 2 Vatican Escape Room Review

Hi, this is Ijjingne. I went out to escape again today. This time I came to Incheon, right in front of Inha University. Maybe because it was a weekday, the area was still very crowded. The place I visited was Cold Case Incheon Branch 2. There is also a Branch 1, but the theme I wanted was at Branch 2, so I reserved this location and went.

It is right in front of Inha University back gate, at the entrance of Inha Culture Street. The area nearby is a busy commercial street, so it is perfect for eating first and then going to escape. Hours are 12:00 to 23:30, with Saturday and Sunday opening at 10:00.

There were many theme types, around eight or nine. If you contact them one day in advance, late-night play is also possible. It is a good option for nights when you want to hang out but have nothing planned.

When you arrive and go up the stairs, there is an escape photo zone in front of the door. The neon sign was cute. Luckily I succeeded in escaping, so I took a photo there too.

There were many horror, mystery, and prison-break style themes. I cannot handle horror, so I chose the mystery theme Vatican. The Vatican theme description says that you have heard a rumor that if you solve every mystery inside the Vatican cathedral, you can obtain gold and treasure. The paintings and objects in the cathedral are actually the path to that treasure. During the 60 minutes when security is loose, you sneak deep into the Vatican cathedral to find the treasure. The story is about finding treasure through the paintings and objects in the cathedral and escaping.

They give hints as cards, so when you really need one, you can comfortably open a card without using the walkie-talkie. They also give you a walkie-talkie, but that is for contacting staff if you need the restroom, feel hot or cold, or have another request. Since the hints are cards, it was very convenient not to use the radio, though there is a danger of opening them too easily.

It felt like many people had visited because both the inside and outside walls of Cold Case were filled with successful escape photos. It was my first time seeing a place where photos covered the walls so completely.

We did not escape within 60 minutes, but they gave us about 10 extra minutes, so we were fortunately able to get out. It felt like we forced the escape a little, but still, we escaped. Vatican made good use of a narrow space, and there were several locks, so solving them one by one was fun.
