Cheongchun Pocha at Incheon Sorae Port: Outdoor Seafood Drinks
A first-hand Incheon Sorae Port outdoor pocha review of Cheongchun Pocha, covering its fish market location, nearby public parking suggestion, sashimi ordering through Roi Fisheries, table setting fees, fried snacks, and kimchi kalguksu.
Hello, this is Ijjingne! After a long time, I went on a two-day, one-night trip to Incheon with friends. After enjoying a hotel stay, we headed out for drinks at an outdoor pocha in Sorae Port. I had also visited the Sorae Port outdoor stalls during shrimp season last year. Compared with the autumn shrimp season, there were not as many outdoor setups, but there were still a few popular-looking spots here and there. After debating between places, I went to Cheongchun Pocha.
The location is just outside Sorae Port Comprehensive Fish Market. It is within walking distance from Soraepogu Station. The outdoor-table area is all clustered around here, so it was easy to find without getting confused. Inside the building is the comprehensive fish market, while the outside has pocha and restaurant-style seating, with tables and outdoor dining set up for eating. For parking, using a nearby public parking lot seemed like the best option.

On this day it had rained all day and stopped around evening, so the outdoor tables had tents set up over them. There were several different pocha options, but Cheongchun Pocha had the most people, so we went straight in. As we passed by, the owner said there was one table left, so we quickly grabbed it.

Flatfish and rockfish sashimi set, ordered separately Small assorted fried snacks Spicy kimchi kalguksu
Since we had come all the way to Sorae, we wanted to eat sashimi, but sashimi was not on Cheongchun Pocha’s menu. The owner said they could connect us with a fish shop inside, so we sat down. However, there was a table setting fee. If you order only sashimi, it is 4,000 KRW per person, and if you also order from Cheongchun Pocha’s menu, it is 2,000 KRW per person. It felt a bit wasteful, but there was no real choice.

This was Roi Fisheries, the fish shop Cheongchun Pocha connected us with. They could do a flatfish plus rockfish set. For three people, the version with side dishes was 70,000 KRW, and the version without side dishes was 50,000 KRW. Since we were going to order side dishes separately from Cheongchun Pocha, we chose to get just the sashimi for 50,000 KRW.

The mouth shape was cute... haha.

After ordering the sashimi, they handed us a chogochujang dipping sauce set according to the number of people. They said the sashimi would be brought to our table, so we returned and sat down.

The fried snacks came out first. They had them stacked nicely near the kitchen and were selling them from there. Because they had already been fried, I wondered if they might be dry, but the fried snacks were seriously delicious. There were many kinds: squid, shrimp, sweet potato, vegetable fritter, fried seaweed roll, and cheese stick. They were super crispy, and the fillings were generous too. The fried snacks are a must-order.

The second dish to arrive was kimchi kalguksu. This one was just so-so. We ordered it because we wanted one soup-style drinking snack. It was listed as two servings, so the bowl was big, but the actual amount did not feel that large.

After waiting a little, the fish shop brought over the flatfish and rockfish sashimi, along with flying fish roe wraps. We had ordered quite a lot, so there was not enough room on the table, and they set up an extra table for us.

The flying fish roe wraps came with the sashimi order. I really love perilla leaves, so I kept saying this place was amazing and finished them quickly. Then the owner of Cheongchun Pocha told us, “If you ask for more of these, they will give you more, so go and get some.” I went right away and got another plate.

The owner of the fish shop also refilled them right away, so we were able to enjoy wrapping the sashimi properly before leaving.

Cheongchun Pocha was almost full even when we were leaving. I do not know about the other snacks, but the fried snacks were definitely delicious, so if you go, make sure to try them.

We each had one bottle and then moved on to a second round. Cheongchun Pocha was a good place to enjoy outdoor seating at Sorae Port. If I come again, I would want to go back for the fried snacks. The fish shop also took good care of us, and the sashimi was tasty. I would not call it especially cost-effective, but it did not feel like a rip-off either. We ate well and left happy.
