Carat House Vivaldi Park Rental Shop: Gear & Lift Discounts

I visited Vivaldi Park ski resort today. Every winter, I try to go to a ski resort at least once to snowboard, and this time I chose nearby Vivaldi Park. Since I could also buy a lift ticket with an SKT discount, I first made a reservation at a rental shop near Vivaldi Park before heading out.

The place I visited was Carat House. Because I reserved in advance, they texted before my visit to ask for everyone’s foot size and height, then prepared gear to match each person. That meant we only had to choose our clothing when we arrived. 📍Hours It is open 24 hours and year-round. I arrived at 8 a.m. on a Saturday and wondered if I had come a little too early, but thankfully the owner had already come out and was preparing everything in advance.

📍Parking and pickup You can park in front of or beside the shop, get ready, and then leave for Vivaldi Park, which is about 5 minutes away. If you have space in your car, you can load the gear and take it yourself. If your car is small or there is not enough room, the owner can move the equipment to Vivaldi Park for you, which was really convenient. We only carried our boots, and the owner transported the gear for us. When returning it, we met at Vivaldi Park, handed over the equipment, and came back up.

There was so much new clothing. The shop felt clean and comfortable, which I really liked.

They had a wide range of clothing ready. There were snowboard outfits that could be worn as matching top-and-bottom sets, plus different kinds of jumpsuits. They also had the same designs in different colors, which would be great for couples or friends who want to coordinate. There were so many pretty outfits that it took me a long time to choose.

The boots were already laid out according to the reservation group, even with name tags attached. You just try on the boots with your name, and if they fit well, you can take them as they are. The designs were nice, and because the rental shop had not been open for long, all the equipment felt new.

The owner also brought out a helmet in the right size and adjusted it to fit my head. For reference, it was a new item that had been taken out the day before our visit. Maybe because it was new, the sponge around the nose area felt firm and comfortable, and there was no smell. The goggles were also clean without a single scratch, so I could ride comfortably at the ski resort even while it was snowing and windy.

The changing room and restroom are inside the shop. Since it was cold, it was perfect not having to go outside. The inside was spacious and comfortable, and there was even a mirror. I liked that I did not have to come out, check the mirror, and go back in again to fix my outfit.

I chose a simple silver snowboard outfit. The owner said this design was very popular and that I was able to wear it because I was the first person to reserve it. When I came back to return it, the hangers were really empty. Is Carat House really this popular? New gear and clothing are definitely in high demand.

Make sure to check the prices before you go. If you rent equipment, clothing, and a helmet, I think you can expect roughly 50,000-80,000 KRW. It was not written on the price table, but they also had hip and knee protectors, and I rented those too.

Lift tickets can also be purchased through the rental shop at a discounted price. The owner kindly explains how to use them, so if you do not have a separate discount benefit, I recommend buying through the rental shop. I went using an SKT carrier discount. The carrier discount mentioned in the post was available until January 31, and it could be downloaded from the T Membership app.

If you write a Naver receipt review, they also give you a cute gift. I received an adorable blanket. It was good for using in the car or as a simple lap blanket.

Helmet ready too. I layered warmly under the outfit and then headed out. It was a day with snow and strong wind. Under the pants, I wore one pair of tights. On top, I wore a thin shirt, a thin hoodie, and a windbreaker before putting on the rented snowboard outfit, and I was not too cold.

I also took a matching twin shot with my friend. We kept saying that our outfits were the prettiest ones at Vivaldi that day. The clothes were so pretty that I took a ridiculous number of photos, even though my fingers almost froze. I was very satisfied. Carat House was seriously great. 👍

It was so much fun. If you want clean, comfortable clothing and gear near Vivaldi Park, I would go with Carat House. The owner was as kind and fun as a friendly neighborhood uncle. A ski resort day starts and ends with the rental shop, and this one made the whole trip feel good.
