Berbel Sanbon Fresh Bread and Handmade Butter Review
A Sanbon bakery visit for a full loaf of fresh bread plus basil olive butter and vanilla cream butter. The source notes 10:00-20:00 hours, Sunday closure, bread slicing options, gift packaging, and preservative-free storage guidance.

Hi, this is Izzingne. A fresh loaf bread shop opened near my workplace, so I hurried over. I often make toast at home, so I usually stock up on bread before running out. I had been looking only for grain bread because of dieting, but this time I wanted to try Berbel bread.

It is on the main road of the Sanbon hagwon district. The white-toned interior and red ribbon made it easy to find. Business hours are 10:00 to 20:00, and it is closed every Sunday. At the entrance, there is a note showing bread release times and whether items are sold out. If you time your visit with the bread release, you can bring home a warm loaf.

I got distracted by the butter first and started choosing butter. There were quite a few kinds, so it was hard to choose. I wanted to eat all of them.

I chose the signature vanilla cream butter and the basil olive butter, which seemed perfect for sandwiches. If you plan to eat the bread on its own, flavors like chocolate, strawberry, or yellow cheese would probably go well too.

The bread model was so cute.

You can choose the thickness for slicing the loaf. You can take it whole and tear it apart, or choose from 1.3 cm, 1.8 cm, and 2.3 cm. Half-and-half cutting is also possible, so I asked for half 1.8 cm and half 2.3 cm.
They also sell several kinds of biscotti and had cute butter knives. The gift packaging was pretty too. Sanbon Jeil Hospital obstetrics and gynecology is nearby, and since the bread is 100% preservative-free, it seems nice as a gift for pregnant people or a birth gift.

They were also running a review event, so you can write a simple review and receive a gift. Having sample bread ready was a nice touch.

I joined the review event and received handmade croutons. Berbel Sanbon also packed everything neatly and prettily.

I took photos after getting home. I warmed the bread and tried it right away. Bread made today should be eaten today.

Vanilla cream butter This butter made me understand why it is the signature item. It is sweet and goes so well with the bread. I usually dislike artificial sweetness and even ask for cafe drinks less sweet, but Berbel vanilla cream butter was sweet and nutty in a way that paired beautifully with the bread. I highly recommend it when you want a simple bread snack.

Basil olive butter It has a strong basil aroma, with bits of olive that you can chew. If you like basil, this is the kind of flavor you could finish instantly. I bought it because I wanted to use it instead of sauce in a sandwich. I made a rucola sandwich with it, and the combination was seriously amazing.

I spread plenty of basil olive butter on the bottom slice, then added rucola, fried egg, sausage, and pepper. Even just that was so good. Basil and rucola go together surprisingly well. I am already thinking about making it again when I get home.

I made soup quickly and added the croutons too. I became someone who made soup just to eat the croutons. Maybe because they were made with Berbel bread, the croutons were nutty and crisp. Berbel bread and butter are both preservative-free. The bread can be kept at room temperature for 2 to 3 days, and the butter can be refrigerated for 2 to 3 days. If anything is left, you can freeze it to keep it longer. But it is so good that I think it will be gone before then. If you are looking for fresh bread in Gunpo or Sanbon, I highly recommend Berbel. #GunpoBakery #SanbonFreshBread #SanbonButter #SanbonDessert #SanbonBakery #FreshBreadRecommendation
