Judang in Beomgye: Korean Pub with a Group Room
A Beomgye pub review of Judang, a fifth-floor Korean-style drinking spot near the Rodeo central fountain with group-room seating, pet-friendly details, late hours, spicy dishes, and highballs.
Hi, this is Ijjingne. Today I decided to have drinks with friends in Beomgye. While looking for where to go, we are soju people, so we chose around Korean food. After hearing the snacks were good, we visited the Beomgye pub Judang.

Judang should be visible on the right after you pass the central fountain in Beomgye Rodeo. The map was attached in the original post, so finding it should be easy. It is located on the fifth floor, and pets are allowed. Weekday hours are 15:00-02:00, and weekend hours are 15:00-04:00. Last order is one hour before closing for each.

The inside was really wide. I went a bit early, so I was able to capture the interior well. Even though it was a weekday, by the time we left quite a few seats were filled. There was also a screen, so it seemed like sports broadcasts might be possible.

Spicy beef brisket sundubu jjigae Spicy yakisoba Self-made tuna mayo rice balls
We were so hungry that we ordered three menus. Everyone likes spicy food, so we mainly chose spicy dishes, and since it was dinner, we added tuna mayo rice balls so we could have rice too.

I liked the thoughtful touch of serving the utensils in a sleeve. I do not know the name of the basic snack, but it was like the biscuit part of a Choco Songi without the chocolate. It looked like it might be dry, but it was softer and crispier than expected. At many pubs I do not touch the basic snack much, but we refilled this one twice.

Also, I heard many people look for this place for Beomgye company dinners. There is a room inside where you can drink more privately. From what I saw, eight people looked easy. The interior is wide, there are group seats, and it was great.

Finally, the menus we ordered came out. The visuals were impressive.

The yakisoba was really spicy. It had plenty of toppings such as bacon and shrimp, and the amount felt like about 1.5 servings. It matched perfectly with the tuna mayo rice balls, and there was a lot of tuna in the rice balls.

The sundubu jjigae also had plenty of mung bean sprouts and a lot of beef brisket, which I liked. With that much soft tofu, it seemed like a whole block went in. The spicy broth made soju go down smoothly.

Since it is on the fifth floor, there was also an indoor smoking room so smokers would not be uncomfortable. The mood was very hip, and overall everything felt clean.

Maybe because the lighting is good, selfies came out well too. We even filmed a time-lapse for fun, and it became a hilarious memory.

There seemed to be many kinds of highballs, so next time I want to go for highballs. I finally found a tasty Korean-style pub in Beomgye. I think I will go often from now on. If you are looking for a gathering place or craving Korean food with drinks, go to Judang in Beomgye.
