Kojiro Omotenashi: Bangye Izakaya with Private Rooms
A personal review of Kojiro Omotenashi in Bangye Rodeo, an izakaya with many tables and private rooms, late-night hours, spicy tantan jjamppong nabe, and assorted yakitori.
Hello, this is Ijjingne! Today I was meeting friends in Bangye and looking for a first-round drinking spot when we came across Kojiro Omotenashi, a place with a strong Japanese-style izakaya atmosphere. A friend had been before and said it was good, so we went in — and the mood was honestly amazing as soon as we entered.
Operating hours: 15:00–03:00 Friday and Saturday: 14:30–04:00 Sunday: 14:00–02:00 It is located near the far end of Bangye Rodeo. If you come up from Bangye Station and just keep walking straight to the end, you can find it pretty quickly.

There were lots of table seats, with window-side seating on one side and many rooms farther inside. I was surprised because it was much bigger than expected, and I liked that there were so many rooms. The best part was that each room had its own air conditioner, so we could eat in a really cool space. It was an extremely hot day, so this was perfect.

The tableware was already set up in advance, including small plates, spoons, chopsticks, cups, and other pretty dishes.

The room had a transparent door, so it did not feel closed in. Since the transparent door covered about half of the room entrance, it still felt a little private.

The basic side dish was a salad, and it was really tasty. They also brought warm wet towels. Even though it was hot outside, the air conditioning cooled us down quickly, so the warm towel actually felt nice.

Spicy Tantan Jjamppong Nabe 10 Assorted Yakitori Skewers
The nabe broth was really delicious. It was spicy, rich, and so good. There were plenty of ingredients and lots of variety. They piled the mung bean sprouts and crown daisy up like a mountain, almost to the point of overflowing.

The 10 skewers were served as a random assortment. The selection was varied, and none of them were burnt. There were also types I had not tried at other places, so it was fun choosing and eating them.

It was a really good place for a first round of drinks. The snacks were generous and varied. At many other izakaya, I have found the portions small for similar prices, but I was very satisfied with this place.

If you are looking for an izakaya in Bangye, I definitely recommend this one. The food was good, and the staff were energetic and kind. Even the restroom was clean. Many bar restrooms in Bangye are not great, but this one was spotless.
