Arariyong Beomgye Korean Fusion Pub Review
A Beomgye review of Arariyong, a Korean fusion pub on the second floor of the Kkokkoazzi building, with reservations, pet-friendly seating, Wednesday closure, soju, traditional drinks, and hearty bar food.
Hello, this is Ijjingne. Today I made last-minute plans with close friends for the first time in a long while. For the two Anyang people, our friend from Yongsan came all the way to Beomgye. To thank that friend for coming, I searched for a Beomgye restaurant for a while and found Arariyong, known as a hot Friday spot where reservations are possible, pets are allowed, and the bar snacks are good value.
Arariyong is on the second floor of the Kkokkoazzi building on Beomgye Rodeo's main street. There is clear guidance once you go up. Note that it is closed every Wednesday.

The entrance had a hip feeling. I was surprised as soon as I walked in because it was wider than I expected.

They had set the table in advance for us. It felt touching right after entering. Can a reserved-seat sign be this cute? They also had chicken-leg snacks, which are my favorite basic pub snack.

At 7 p.m. on Friday, only one or two seats were left. It really was a hot pub. The soft lighting made the mood nice too.

Spicy pollack roe tofu soup Cheese potato pancake Soju
Since we chose soju for the day, we ordered one soup and a crispy potato pancake. After ordering, I noticed they had a huge variety of traditional liquors. Next time, I want to come for traditional drinks.

The drinks were displayed beautifully, with glasses that suited them. I was happy to spot traditional liquors and whiskeys I had tried before.

They also sold cute candles at the counter. If you have a cake for a party or gathering but no candle, they would be useful. The source also notes that they sold slice cake. The candle designs were tiny and cute.

The food finally came out. I thought it might take a while, but while we were chatting, it came out sooner than expected. Looking at it again, it still looks delicious.

The spicy pollack roe tofu soup had a clear broth, but it was very spicy and refreshing. It was full of enoki mushrooms, tofu, and pollack roe, and the clear broth had deeper flavor than expected, so it tasted even better.

For the cheese potato pancake, I broke the yolk in the middle and took a bite with it. It was really crispy and savory. Dipping it in the sauce served with it made the seasoning just right, and we finished it quickly.

It was exactly the kind of pairing that goes with soju. We each had a bottle and were enjoying the food when...

The shop gave us sherbet as service. They served mango and strawberry flavors half-and-half. It was sweet, thoughtful, and delicious. This place felt excellent.

While I was touched by the service, a very large golden retriever came in. I spent so much time watching it. It seemed to come often and greeted the owner warmly. After watching for a while, I got permission from its owner and pet it. Because it was so big, it was extra cute.

There was the cute golden retriever and my friends. Besides that dog, I also saw a poodle, a Pomeranian, and maybe a Bichon that day. All three of us are dog owners, so it was a happy time. In Beomgye, this was just right for drinking with tasty snacks while relaxing around dogs.
