Anyang Ilbeonga Raeso Thin Pizza and Kozel Dark Review

JUNG03/24/2024Korea

A review of Raeso in Anyang Ilbeonga, covering the black exterior, access near Anyang Station Exit 4, half-and-half thin pizza, Kozel Dark, self bar, and 500 won pickles.

Hello. Today I visited a pizza spot in Anyang Ilbeonga. After work, I went straight there with a coworker because we were both craving dark beer.

The whole building exterior is black. It has a bit of an Itaewon or Hongdae kind of mood. It is on a big street in Anyang Ilbeonga, so it was easy to find. If you are coming from Anyang Station, it is close if you come up through underground shopping mall Exit 4.

I went around opening time, so I could capture the interior while it was still spacious. The atmosphere was amazing. In my 25 years living in Anyang, I had never seen a restaurant with this kind of mood in Ilbeonga.

Half-and-half pizza (charcoal-grilled buldak, whole corn) Kozel Dark

Since I like spicy food, I chose the buldak. My coworker fell for the whole corn. And of course, our beloved Kozel Dark.

After ordering, they set out small plates, tissues, and plastic gloves.

Next to the bar table, water, cheese powder, hot sauce, and utensils were self-service, so you could take what you needed. It was one of the neatest self bars I have seen.

After I brought the utensils, they brought the dark beer to the table. Maybe because of the foam, it kept pushing out the cinnamon powder in a cute way. They sprinkled cinnamon powder over the cold draft beer foam, and the rim of the cup had sugar on it, making it sweeter. There are not many places selling dark beer in Ilbeonga, so as a Kozel fan, I will be coming here often.

The pizza appeared about 15 minutes after ordering. I thought it would take longer, so I was happy it came out faster than expected. I could not resist the beer, so we had already taken a sip.

The pizza was exactly what you want. The sauce combination was great, the cheese stretched beautifully, and it looked delicious too. Since it was thin pizza, the crust was thin and crispy. It completely hit my taste.

Whole corn: the corn was really served whole, so it was very savory, and the thin layer of mayonnaise went well with it. Charcoal-grilled buldak: true to the name, it had a slight fire aroma, and it was not just buldak sauce. There was a decent amount of chicken too, giving it a spicy chicken pizza feel. This was my top pick. It was a little spicy but so good.

Pickles are not provided by default, so you need to add them for 500 won. We added them, and they tasted pretty good, maybe handmade.

Yes, the two of us finished the whole pizza. After eating, we talked for a while. The beer was so good that even though we were full, we each had two glasses before leaving.

By the time we left, it was full, even though it was a weekday. In the all-black space, the lighting here and there gave it a hip mood. As an Anyang Ilbeonga restaurant, it looked great for younger people on dates too. #KozelDarkCinnamon #AnyangIlbeongaDarkBeer #AnyangIlbeongaRestaurant #AnyangIlbeongaPizzaRestaurant #AnyangStationRestaurant #AnyangDarkBeerRestaurant
