Anyang Ilbeonga JJ Hao Chinese Pub Skewer Hot Pot
A visit to JJ Hao, a new Chinese-style pub inside Anyang Ilbeonga, for two-person skewer hot pot with Chinese glass noodles, corn noodles, yuba, lime ade, and lychee sparkling.

Hi, this is Izzingne. Today I went to JJ Hao, a new Chinese-style pub in Anyang Ilbeonga, to eat skewer hot pot. It had been a while since I had hot pot, so I visited with high expectations.

It really feels like an authentic Chinese pub, the kind you might pass by in China. It is located inside Anyang Ilbeonga, and if you are coming from Anyang Station, it is easier to find if you come up from underground shopping arcade Exit 6. Business hours are 16:00 to 02:00.

There was a menu outside, so I checked it before going in. The main items seemed to be skewer hot pot and caipo, and there were many other Chinese-style drinking snacks too.
Skewer hot pot for two Add-ons: Chinese glass noodles, corn noodles, yuba Lime ade Lychee sparkling
The skewer hot pot looked interesting, and I happened to be craving hot pot, so we ordered it. Since hot pot usually does not include noodles, we added Chinese glass noodles, corn noodles, and yuba.

After ordering, I looked around the interior. It had a hip mood and a very Chinese feel, almost like I had come to a local spot in China.

There were many tables, and it looked spacious enough for group visits. There were window seats and counter seats too, so choosing where to sit seemed fun.

As expected from a Chinese pub, the Chinese liquors and drinks were fully stocked. I could not drink that day, which was a shame, so next time I want to try hot pot with kaoliang liquor.

They set us up with cute plates and long chopsticks that are easy to use for hot pot. They said to mix about half a spoon of hot pot broth into the prepared seasoning to make a sauce, so we made the sauce as soon as the hot pot came out.

The presentation was amazing. Once the broth boils, you lift the cup over the skewers and dip the ingredients into the soup.

We added the Chinese glass noodles, corn noodles, and yuba all at once.

We pulled the cup out boldly and cooked the ingredients. It had so many things inside, including shrimp, mushrooms, potatoes, tofu, and assorted offal. We ordered both red broth and white broth, so we could enjoy two flavors.

The lime ade and zero-calorie lychee ade arrived. The lychee ade was a canned drink, but they served it with an ice cup and lemon, which felt thoughtful.

Because I like spicy, stimulating flavors, the ingredients from the red broth tasted better to me. But when I tasted the white broth by itself, it was excellent. It had a rich, deep broth flavor, and I found myself continuing to spoon up the white broth after finishing the hot pot ingredients.

There were cute snacks hanging by the counter. The owner gave us jelly on the way out too. When I have plans to drink in Ilbeonga, I want to visit again. The skewer hot pot was so good, so definitely try it. #AnyangChineseFood #AnyangPub #AnyangIlbeongaRestaurant #AnyangHotPot #AnyangStationRestaurant #AnyangChinesePub
