Anyang Bakdal-dong Chakhan Gogijip Iberico Review
A Bakdal-dong Iberico pork restaurant review near Bakdal Intersection and Bakdal Market, with hours, closure days, Anyang Love Pay, assorted Iberico cuts, charcoal grilling, side dishes, doenjang jjigae, and cold noodles.
Hi, this is Izzingne. Today I visited Chakhan Gogijip, an Iberico restaurant in my neighborhood. I had often heard that it was good, so I had wanted to try it at least once, and I finally went.

It is near Bakdal Intersection and Bakdal Market. Business hours are 12:00 to 23:00, with last order at 22:00. It is regularly closed on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.

Anyang Love Pay is accepted, and the restaurant is on the second floor, so go up the stairs.

The restaurant was clean overall. There were wide tables in the center that looked suitable for groups, so it seems good for gatherings or company dinners. I visited in the early evening, which made it easy to take photos, but people filled the restaurant quickly after some time.

They set the side dishes first. The seasoned soft tofu and myeongi namul were excellent. I had another serving of the soft tofu because the seasoning was so good. It was a place where you could feel care in the side dishes.

The onion pickles here were also really good. They tasted different from the commercial sauce I have had at other barbecue restaurants. I think they might make it themselves, and either way, it was delicious.

Assorted Iberico Pork neck, jowl meat, rib meat, pork belly Mul naengmyeon
I wanted to try several kinds of meat, so I ordered the assorted platter. It was nice to taste all four cuts. They set up the fire with charcoal. Meat grilled over charcoal really is the best.

The meat quality looked great. King oyster mushrooms came out with it too.

Chakhan Gogijip says its pork comes from pigs raised on acorns in clean areas of Spain. There is a reason the fresh raw meat looked so good.

We placed the meat on the grill and cooked it well. The fire was not too strong, so it was easy to grill. After browning it nicely, we cut it into bite-sized pieces.

And the doenjang jjigae here was seriously delicious. It came as a basic item without ordering, but it tasted good enough to sell separately. If I had been much hungrier, I probably would have had one more. It had that deep, home-style soybean paste flavor.

While eating, we ran low on wrap vegetables and kimchi, so I went to the self-service bar. At some restaurants, self bars can be messy or poorly managed, but this one was clean and hygienic. When I see a place managing hygiene this well, it makes me want to come again.

We grilled about half first, ate some, and then grilled the remaining meat for round two. I love jowl meat, and as expected, the jowl was the tastiest to me.
It was a proper, satisfying setup. I could not help taking a video.

After eating for a while, I debated between rice and cold noodles, but when eating grilled meat, cold noodles are the answer.

Bibim naengmyeon is classic with meat, but that day I felt like mul naengmyeon, so I ordered that. My younger companion also said it was a mul naengmyeon day, so we both ordered it. It was my first time seeing a barbecue restaurant roll the noodles this prettily.

We finished the cold noodles and left fully satisfied. If two people order one assorted platter and each have naengmyeon or a bowl of rice, it is just the right amount. It is not easy to find Iberico in Anyang Bakdal-dong, and Chakhan Gogijip had good-quality, tasty meat. The owner was also kind and attentive. I strongly recommend it. #AnyangBakdalRestaurant #BakdalMarketRestaurant #AnyangRestaurant #BakdalDongBarbecue #BakdalDongIberico #AnyangPorkBarbecue
