Sadang Station Dipeodaen Wine: Honest Friday Review

A friend paid for this visit, so this is a “friend bought it” review. I met friends in Sadang for the first time in a while. Since it was a friend’s birthday and also a Friday, we looked up a place in advance and made a reservation through Naver before going. The place was said to be nice for blind dates and date nights, so we chose it to enjoy a glass of wine and a bit of atmosphere. But in the end, it did not meet the expectations I had going in.

The location is close to Sadang Station exits 8 and 9. It is right near the alley with many restaurants as soon as you come out of the station, so it was easy to find. 📍 Listed hours Weekdays: 17:00-24:00 Saturday: 13:00-14:00 Sunday: 13:00-22:00 📍 Parking The post says that if you park at a nearby public parking lot, one hour of parking support may be available.

At the entrance, there were various wines, whiskies, and cocktails.

Because we had made a reservation, we were shown to our seats. As soon as we sat down, the heater airflow felt too strong and was blowing directly toward my face, so I asked a staff member if we could move to another empty seat. They said those seats were reserved. I had reserved too, though. 😅 When making the Naver reservation, the notice said they do not take seat requests and would change seats if there was availability at the time of the visit. Because of that, I did not write any seating request, and I regretted it.

What we had: - Sous-vide pork tenderloin steak - Gambas pasta - Pre-meal bread from a review event - Wine listed as “뀌베 드 마샬드”

Two of us visited and ordered steak, pasta, and one bottle of wine.

The pre-meal bread came through the review event. Next, the pasta came out, and I was honestly a bit shocked. The plate and the portion were both really small. Even the size of the serving tongs surprised me. To me, it felt less like a full single portion and more like about a 0.5-person serving, almost like a children’s meal.

For the sous-vide pork tenderloin steak, I expected a tender texture, but it was quite dry, so I was disappointed.

The wine tasted good, just as it had been described. But the food portions felt so small that we still had wine left. We thought about ordering one more dish, but decided we would rather go somewhere else for a second round. In the end, we just drank the remaining wine almost like a beverage and left. I visited with expectations because it was recommended as a Sadang Station spot for dates and blind dates, but I left disappointed by the pasta portion and the texture of the meat. I do not think I would revisit. If you are making a reservation, seat changes after arrival may be difficult, so I recommend writing down any requests if you have them. #SadangStationWesternFood #SadangWesternRestaurant
