Sadang Station Gaekgan Raw Beef Waiting Review
A self-paid birthday gathering review at Gaekgan near Sadang Station, with Friday waiting notes, same-day butchered raw beef, arong-satae hot pot, mini gimbap, yukjeon, and a small lively pub interior.
Hi, this is Izzingne. Today I had a birthday gathering with friends. Sadang is the midpoint for us, so we meet there often. I heard there was a same-day butchered raw beef spot in Sadang, so I visited and paid for it myself.

It is inside the Sadang Station food alley. You can arrive within 10 minutes on foot from Exit 10 or Exit 7. Business hours are 17:00 to 01:00, and last order is 00:00. Friday evening waiting information: Gaekgan is tasty and has only a small number of tables, so waiting is almost required. I arrived around 18:15 and was first on the waiting list. After writing my name down, I browsed at Youngpoong Bookstore near Sadang Station and went in around 18:50. It looked like the guests who came at 17:00 left around 19:00. For reference, it was full even past 20:00. I recommend coming with time to spare, putting your name down, and looking around nearby before entering.

Gaekgan's basic snack is purple sweet potato chips, one of my favorite basic pub snacks. They also serve Hovenia water, which felt thoughtful.

The interior is generally narrow. The tables are close together, and because it stayed full, it was a little uncomfortable when passing by to go to the bathroom. But this kind of atmosphere is hard to give up. If I come later for a date, the window seat over there seems like it would be very romantic.

Arong-satae hot pot Raw beef and gimbap Yukjeon and chamnamul muchim

The arong-satae hot pot had tasty broth. It had a good amount of meat and plenty of vegetables. It was not a very unusual flavor, but on a cold day, warm broth like this goes well with soju.

The raw beef was amazing. This is a place to visit for the raw beef. It went well with the mini gimbap, and all four sauces served with it matched the beef perfectly. I especially love black sesame, so I ate a lot of the black sesame sauce, and it was delicious.

Cheers.

The chewiness and firm texture were on a completely different level from frozen raw beef. I am definitely going back here for the raw beef.

Two dishes were not quite a large amount for three people, so we ordered yukjeon at the end. The yukjeon was also good: thin, nutty, and excellent with the chamnamul.

We ate well at Gaekgan near Sadang Station and had a good birthday gathering with friends. I wrote down the waiting information, so if you plan to visit on Friday or Saturday, keep it in mind and make sure to try the raw beef.
Because the birthday friend paid, this was bought with my friend's money.
