A review of TuftTuft in Indeogwon, covering the walk from Exit 4, daily posted hours, tufting, weaving and knitting options, the Gromit rug and pastel cloud projects, yarn choices, practice, finishing, ribbons, and fabric perfume.

Hi, this is Ijjingne. Today I went to a tufting workshop with a friend. I had wanted to try a workshop experience for a while, and a new tufting studio opened nearby in Indeogwon, so we reserved and visited.

I originally wanted to place the finished photo at the end, but it was so cute and satisfying that I put it first. Here is the review of the very cute tufting experience.

I visited TuftTuft in Indeogwon. It is a short walk from Indeogwon Station Exit 4, and I arrived in less than 10 minutes. The posted hours are daily from 12:00 to 22:00, so experiences are available later in the day too.

For weaving, coasters and tapestries were listed. For knitting, card wallets, keyrings, coasters, and scrunchies were listed.

The entrance already felt stylish and pretty. I felt lucky to learn from a teacher who makes things like this.

After entering, they listened to a brief explanation about tufting and were asked to sketch a rough design in the square on the left. Thinking about a design in advance can save time.

I was into Gromit lately, so I chose a cute Gromit design. My friend chose a soft pastel cloud. Because Gromit has simple colors, I did not use many yarns, while the friend divided the design into sections to try various yarns.

After drawing the designs, we chose yarn. There were many types of yarn, including special yarns, and there seemed to be every color.

For tufting, two to four yarns need to be combined. The friend chose pastel-toned yarn and added a white angora-like special yarn.

For Gromit, I chose only three yarns at first. As the work went on, it felt a little plain, so I changed the ear section to special yarn.

They threaded the yarn and practiced horizontal, vertical, and curved lines. It required more strength than expected and felt a little difficult at first, but became fun after getting used to it.

After practicing, I made a heart with curves and gained confidence, then started the body. At that stage it looked a bit like a gorilla, but I insist it was Gromit.

The friend also practiced and started right away. While I made the Gromit body, the friend decorated the cloud with different yarns. When it started to feel a little plain, the teacher suggested adding special yarn with a vintage vertical weaving tool. I thought of it as an older-version feeling compared with a tufting gun, where yarn is pushed in by hand one stitch at a time.

After watching the friend, I used the vertical weaving tool and special yarn for Gromit's ears. Unlike a tufting gun that cuts yarn evenly while working, this tool required continuing through without cutting to length, making the yarn look longer and puffier.

Making the ears puffier with special yarn and the vertical tool was described as a great choice. After the eyes were done, there was not much room for the nose. While I was thinking about it, the teacher suggested making the nose as a pom-pom.

There was a pom-pom making tool, and after wrapping yarn around it, the pom-pom was finished quickly. Wrap the yarn, cut it with scissors, remove the tool, and the pom-pom is done.

At first I wondered what a pom-pom would be like, but it turned out very cute. The friend used various special yarns, while I kept the character more simple. When I felt a little disappointed, the teacher brought special yarn that suggested grass and flowers to make a flower path under Gromit. The teacher said it was my favorite yarn, which moved me.

They also made the flower path simply with the vertical weaving tool, then moved into finishing work.

After applying the finishing material, we dried it with air. It dried faster than expected.

When the pieces were dry, the back was trimmed little by little, folded inward, and finished with a glue gun. I also had to cut yarn to make Gromit's arms and legs, and the teacher carefully trimmed Gromit's eyes. After the overall finishing, an anti-slip backing was attached to cover the messy back neatly.

The finished pieces were extremely cute. The friend's cloud had a soft, fluffy texture, with mysterious pastel colors and special-yarn accents. My Gromit ended up with a flower path under its feet, which became a touching detail thanks to the teacher.

The teacher also took cute photos, and I enjoyed a date-like outing with my friend after a long time.

At the end, ribbons matching each work's colors were tied on, and fabric perfume was prepared so we could choose a scent to spray. I was impressed by the teacher's care. I wrote that special yarn would usually have an extra charge, but on that day the teacher let us use the yarn we wanted freely. For anyone interested in tufting, weaving, sewing, or other yarn-based workshop experiences, or anyone thinking about an Anyang date, I strongly recommend Indeogwon TuftTuft. #AnyangDate #AnyangOneDayClass #AnyangWorkshop #AnyangIndoorDate #TuftingWorkshop
