Henji Baegun Lake Cafe: Late-Night Bingsu Near Time Villas

I visited a bingsu spot near Baegun Lake today! Mango is especially good lately, and Cafe Henji makes a bingsu topped with a whole fresh mango. 💕

The cafe is right in front of Uiwang Time Villas. It is close to both Baegun Lake and Time Villas, so it is a great place to stop by after a nearby outing and cool down with bingsu. 📍 Hours 11:30-01:00 Weekends: 10:00-01:00 They open a little earlier on weekends. 📍 Parking Parking is available at the “Bricks Baegun” building directly across from the cafe building, and the cafe provides parking time support. ₩10,000-₩20,000: 30 minutes ₩20,000-₩30,000: 1 hour ₩30,000 or more: listed as a 2-hour tier in context, but please confirm onsite.

Fresh mango bingsu Cafe latte

The menu item I wanted to try most was the fresh mango bingsu! I also ordered one simple cafe latte. Besides mango bingsu, they also had strawberry, Dubai, green tea, and injeolmi red bean bingsu, so if you visit Henji, definitely try their bingsu. haha

Henji also had so many desserts. There were lots of house-made treats, including baked sweets, cakes, Dujjonku, butter tteok, meringue cookies, and more. Because they make each item themselves instead of using ready-made products, it felt more trustworthy, and I wanted to try everything.

Orders are placed at the kiosk here. The cafe also said that if you write a photo review on Naver, they give you one butter tteok as a service item. House-made butter tteok from the cafe is hard to resist, so write the review and get the service item if the offer is still available. 😁

Detailed parking instructions, Wi-Fi information, restroom information, and other useful notes were clearly posted, so using the cafe felt comfortable. The restroom was clean too. There was also a baby chair inside, so I think it would be a good cafe for parents visiting Baegun Lake or Time Villas with kids.

In the middle area of the cafe, they had water you could drink freely, paper cups, wet wipes, a trash bin, and small plates for bingsu.

The cafe atmosphere was so pretty. I was looking for a cafe that I could visit at night, so I stopped by in the evening. Because it stays open late, it is perfect for anyone searching for a nighttime cafe. Parking is supported, the seats are spacious, the bingsu is good, there is even a terrace, and it stays open late. Honestly, there is not much reason not to go. 😋

The chairs were comfortable too. There were several sofa seats, so I sat on a sofa and relaxed. All the chairs felt cushioned, making it nice for working, handling tasks, or sitting and chatting with friends.

While I went to check the Wi-Fi number, I ran into my bingsu being made. 🍨 The mango milk ice was spinning and being shaved finely, and just watching it made it look delicious. This is not bingsu made by pouring mango syrup over plain milk ice. It is made with mango milk ice, so it tastes much better.

The plating was done so beautifully that it almost felt too pretty to eat. I thought the bingsu would be sweet, so I tried the latte first. It was nutty and really good. I normally drink lattes often because I like them, and Henji’s cafe latte was tasty. :)

I scooped off a piece of the ripe mango and put it on the bingsu. It did not have that artificial mango-syrup taste, and it was not overly sweet. It melted softly in my mouth.

It was my first time trying bingsu made with mango ice. Because I ate it together with fresh mango, it tasted even better and did not feel artificial.
