5.2 Account security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity under your account. You must not share your password, allow unauthorized access, use another person's account, or attempt to bypass authentication or rate-limit controls.
Notify us promptly at contact@reviewinkorea.com if you suspect unauthorized access, account compromise, or misuse.
5.3 Session and security controls
We may use session cookies, token hashes, audit logs, rate limits, and other technical measures to operate accounts and protect the Service. We may revoke sessions, require password reset, restrict login, or suspend accounts where we reasonably believe necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or enforcement of these Terms.
5.4 Account deletion
You may request account deletion through the account settings, if available, or by contacting us at contact@reviewinkorea.com. Account deletion may revoke active sessions, delete user-owned community posts tied to the account where technically configured, change account status, and replace the email address with a deleted placeholder.
Some information may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy, including security logs, audit records, legal records, complaint records, backup copies until overwritten, and information necessary to protect rights, prevent abuse, comply with law, or resolve disputes. 6.2 Public nature of User Content
If you submit content for publication or use community features, your User Content may be publicly displayed on the Service, translated into multiple languages, indexed by search engines, shared through URLs, and accessible to users worldwide. Do not submit content that you want to keep private.

If you delete content or your account, we will make reasonable efforts to stop public display under our control, subject to legal retention, backups, technical limitations, cached copies, third-party copies, and any rights or permissions that allow continued use.
6.5 Representations about User Content

If you believe moderation action was taken in error, contact us at contact@reviewinkorea.com with the relevant URL, account email, explanation, and supporting materials. We will review appeals at our discretion and as required by applicable law.
9. Externally Sourced Content, Attribution, and Takedown
The Service may include content imported from, inspired by, linked to, summarized from, translated from, or otherwise based on external source material, including public websites, blogs, Naver Blog pages, images, source URLs, author names, or other publicly available materials.
We aim to respect intellectual property rights, privacy rights, portrait rights, source attribution, and applicable platform terms. However, external source material can raise complex rights, licensing, attribution, database, image, publicity, and privacy issues. Publication on the internet does not necessarily mean that content is free to copy, modify, translate, or republish.
If you are a rights holder, data subject, original author, photographer, publisher, platform operator, or authorized representative and believe content on the Service should be corrected, attributed, removed, restricted, or otherwise changed, contact us at contact@reviewinkorea.com.
Your notice should include:
- Your name and contact information.
- The URL of the content on REVIEW IN KOREA.
- The original source URL or other identifying information, if available.
- A description of the rights or personal information at issue.
- Evidence of ownership, authorization, consent withdrawal, or other legal basis for the request.
- The action requested, such as removal, correction, attribution, link update, image replacement, de-indexing, or restriction.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to submit the request.
We may remove, disable, restrict, edit, attribute, replace, preserve, or decline to act on content depending on applicable law, evidence, licenses, permissions, public interest, fair use or similar doctrines where applicable, contractual obligations, safety, and operational considerations. We may forward relevant details to the user, contributor, source, hosting provider, search engine, legal advisor, or competent authority as appropriate.
We may terminate or restrict accounts that repeatedly infringe rights or repeatedly submit unlawful content.
10. AI-Assisted Translation and Localization
The Service may use AI-assisted systems, including the OpenAI API or similar providers, to translate, localize, summarize, format, classify, or improve content. AI-assisted output may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, culturally imperfect, or inconsistent across languages.
You acknowledge that:
- Translated or localized content is provided for convenience and accessibility.
- Travel information, names, categories, addresses, route descriptions, opening hours, menus, prices, and cultural descriptions may contain errors after translation.
- We may edit, replace, remove, or decline to publish AI-generated translations.
- We may store prompts, outputs, source hashes, and localization metadata for quality control, debugging, provenance, rights management, and audit purposes.
- If you submit User Content, it may be translated or localized using AI-assisted tools unless we state otherwise.
For legal pages, if we provide multiple language versions, the governing-language provision in Section 23 applies.
11. Travel Information Disclaimers

We do not control third-party businesses, venues, government agencies, routes, prices, availability, safety conditions, or third-party services.
You are solely responsible for your travel decisions and for complying with applicable laws, health and safety guidance, visa rules, transportation rules, and venue rules.

Advertisers and ad technology providers may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, device identifiers, browser information, page URLs, ad interaction data, and other information as described in our Privacy Policy.
The Service may also use or link to third-party services, including analytics providers, hosting providers, email providers, AI providers, map providers if added, source websites, social media platforms, advertisers, attractions, restaurants, cafes, travel services, and external websites.
We do not endorse or control third-party websites, products, services, advertisements, content, policies, or practices. Your interactions with third parties are solely between you and the relevant third party. Third-party terms and privacy policies apply to third-party services.
13. Intellectual Property of the Service
The Service, including its design, software, user interface, databases, compiled content, taxonomy, categories, logos, brand names, trademarks, page layouts, features, source code, text, images, graphics, icons, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to REVIEW IN KOREA and is protected by copyright, trademark, database, unfair competition, and other laws.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial informational purposes. This license does not allow you to:
- Copy, reproduce, republish, sell, license, distribute, scrape, crawl, mine, or bulk download Service content or data.

- Remove proprietary notices, source attributions, copyright notices, or technical protection measures.
All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
14. Feedback
If you provide ideas, suggestions, corrections, comments, or other feedback about the Service ("Feedback"), you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to use the Feedback for any purpose without restriction or compensation, provided that we will handle personal information contained in Feedback according to the Privacy Policy.
15. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, retain, and protect personal information. By using the Service, you acknowledge that we process personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.
16. Service Changes, Availability, and Suspension
We may modify, suspend, restrict, discontinue, or remove all or part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, where permitted by law. This includes changes to content, languages, routes, features, accounts, community functions, uploads, comments, likes, maps, advertising, analytics, AI localization, and third-party integrations.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, timely, error-free, or available operation. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, failures, attacks, provider outages, legal restrictions, force majeure, or other reasons.
17. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion as described in these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service or your account if we reasonably believe that:
- You violated these Terms or applicable law.
- Your account or content creates legal, security, privacy, rights, reputational, or operational risk.
- Your account is compromised or used for abuse, spam, scraping, fraud, or unauthorized activity.
- We are required or requested to do so by law, court order, regulator, rights holder, or competent authority.
- Continued access would harm users, third parties, the Service, or us.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections intended to survive termination will survive, including provisions concerning User Content licenses, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, dispute resolution, governing law, privacy, legal compliance, and any accrued rights or obligations.
18. No Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service and all content, features, translations, advertisements, third-party links, and information are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.
We disclaim all warranties, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, title, quiet enjoyment, and that the Service will be secure, uninterrupted, error-free, virus-free, or free from harmful components.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, REVIEW IN KOREA and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or similar damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, loss of goodwill, business interruption, travel disruption, or cost of substitute services, arising from or related to the Service, these Terms, content, travel decisions, third-party services, advertisements, translations, or user conduct.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service or these Terms will be limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us for the Service giving rise to the claim during the three months before the event giving rise to liability; or (b) KRW 100,000.
Because the Service currently does not provide paid checkout or paid membership, the amount you paid us may be zero.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for willful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury caused by legally attributable fault, fraud, or mandatory consumer rights where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited.
20. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless REVIEW IN KOREA and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from or related to:

- Your User Content.
- Your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
- Your violation of another person's rights, including intellectual property, privacy, publicity, portrait, or contractual rights.
- Your fraud, misrepresentation, misconduct, or unauthorized use of another account.
We reserve the right to control the defense of any matter subject to indemnification, and you agree to cooperate with our defense.
21. Consumer Rights and Mandatory Law
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that you cannot waive under applicable consumer protection, privacy, platform, copyright, or other mandatory law. If any provision of these Terms is unenforceable against a consumer in a particular jurisdiction, that provision will apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
22. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on the Service and update the "Last updated" date. Where required by law or where changes materially affect user rights or obligations, we will provide prior notice through the Service, email, or other appropriate means.
Unless a different effective date is stated, updated Terms take effect when posted. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and may request account deletion.
23. Language Versions
The Service may provide these Terms and other legal documents in Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, Malay, Russian, Filipino, French, German, Spanish, Arabic, Hindi, Mongolian, or other languages.
Unless otherwise stated in a specific localized version or required by mandatory law, the Korean-language version will prevail in the event of conflict or inconsistency among language versions. Until a Korean-language version is posted, this English version is the operative version for the Service. Translations are provided for convenience and accessibility.
24. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or related to the Service or these Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Subject to mandatory consumer protection laws and any jurisdiction that cannot be waived by agreement, the Seoul Central District Court of the Republic of Korea will have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance over disputes arising from or related to the Service or these Terms. If another court has mandatory jurisdiction under applicable law, that mandatory jurisdiction will apply to the extent required.
25. Notices
We may provide notices through the Service, by email to the address associated with your account, by posting on relevant pages, or by other reasonable means. You are responsible for keeping your account email address current and for reviewing notices posted on the Service.
You may send notices to us at contact@reviewinkorea.com unless a different notice method is required by law or specified by us.
26. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights or obligations under them without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, change of control, or by operation of law, subject to applicable law.
27. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
28. No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to enforce that provision or any other provision later.
29. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms that apply to specific features, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede prior or contemporaneous agreements on that subject.
