A personal review of a lash lift with accent extensions at Melrose Beauty, about five minutes from Pyeongchon Station, with consultation details, results, hours, and parking information.

I recently headed to Pyeongchon for a long-overdue lash appointment at Melrose Beauty. Once again, I chose a lash lift with accent extensions, called “point extensions” in Korean. The treatment combines a lift with selectively added extensions. After trying this combination before, a lift on its own just doesn't feel quite enough anymore—I think I've spoiled myself! I looked into several lash salons around Pyeongchon, and Melrose Beauty was the one that appealed to me most.

Getting there, opening hours, and parking Melrose Beauty is in the second-floor commercial area of Ratz Officetel, near Pyeongchon Station. It's about a five-minute walk from the station. I came by public transport after work and found it easy to reach. Opening hours listed in the review: • Monday–Friday: 10:30–21:00 • Saturday–Sunday: 10:00–18:00 The salon opens and closes a little earlier on weekends. Staying open until 9 p.m. on weekdays also makes an after-work visit convenient. Parking is available in the building's underground garage. I was told it was free and that visitors should mention they are visiting Melrose Beauty.

Once I went upstairs to the commercial area, I found the salon right by the stairs. Signs along the way made it straightforward to find, even inside an officetel building. The lash-lift-and-extension result shown on the poster was actually what convinced me to book!

The entrance looked neat and tidy. Although it has glass frontage, the view inside is partly screened, which helped the treatment space feel private. The owner greeted me warmly and brought out slippers. After changing into them, I waited inside for my consultation.

A detailed lash consultation After I filled out the form, the owner carefully asked about my preferred style and curl shape, any discomfort during previous treatments, and how sensitive my eyes were. I was genuinely impressed by how thorough she was. She looked at my eye shape and suggested a style she thought would suit me. When she asked whether I preferred something natural or more dramatic, I said I wanted a little extra definition. She suggested extensions slightly longer than my own lashes.

The interior was pretty and modern, with a white-and-blue color scheme that made everything feel fresh and uncluttered. I usually arrive for lash treatments without makeup, but this time I came straight from work with eye makeup on. I'd arrived a little early and offered to remove it quickly myself, but the owner said she would take it off thoroughly before starting. It was another thoughtful touch—she was so kind and considerate.
The overall atmosphere was clean, tidy, and comfortable. I especially liked having the treatment area farther inside, where it felt more private.

Even the blanket in the treatment area was blue! The treatment bed looked very clean, and the blanket was soft enough that I spent most of the appointment happily dozing.

Melrose Beauty also sells lash-care products, including conditioning serums. I liked the selection and considered buying something, but decided to finish what I already had first. Maybe on my next visit!

Before the treatment These were my lashes before the appointment. My previous lash lift and accent extensions had been done somewhere else, around six to eight weeks earlier. By this point, the extensions had all fallen out and much of the curl had relaxed. Some lashes still pointed upward, some were bent, and others had dropped completely. They were looking pretty uneven.

Looking up from a slightly lower angle, you could still see a little curl. From the front, though, my lashes looked so untidy that I finally decided it was time to book.

After the lash lift and accent extensions Here's the result—I was delighted! First, the owner lifted my natural lashes, then added extensions in selected places for definition. That individual placement made the result look much neater and more natural to me. She applied a lash conditioner and grouped the lashes into sections of two or three. She explained that I could wear them as finer, more separated strands or use the conditioner to group them for a doll-like lash look, depending on my preference. The extensions were a little longer than my own lashes, but they looked more natural than I had expected. Defined yet natural was exactly the balance I wanted.

A lift alone never gave me quite this effect, and now I don't think I can go back. The owner joked that once you enter the world of extensions, it's hard to leave—and I understand what she meant! I've been happily admiring my lashes every time I look in the mirror. My treatment took about one hour and ten minutes. Since I was getting both a lift and extensions, I'd allowed at least an hour and a half, so finishing sooner than expected was a nice surprise. I've experienced appointments elsewhere that took close to two hours. A good nap is lovely, but getting home sooner is even better. I was impressed by how efficiently she worked and how happy I was with the result.

Aftercare and final thoughts I haven't had extensions very often, so I asked plenty of questions about looking after them. The owner explained everything carefully and emphasized following the aftercare instructions, including what to avoid, to help them last. She also gave me a cute Hello Kitty lash brush, which I'm planning to keep at work. I was happy with the service, the owner's skill, and how comfortable the whole visit felt. If you're looking for a lash salon in Anyang, Melrose Beauty is one I'd personally recommend.
